Horticultural Short Course Refinement Workshop

jaaym7

As part of the European Union-funded CoVE South Africa project, one of the key objectives this year is to develop innovative, problem-based learning tools. This will be achieved by collaborating with stakeholders from the regional Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) to ensure that e-learning, Moodle-based short courses align with real-world employment needs.

A significant milestone in this process will be the Horticultural Short Course Refinement Workshop, led by Dutch consultant Hester van de Kuilen. The workshop will take place at the Worcester Campus of Boland College and will bring together staff and stakeholders from Boland, Lovedale, and West Coast College. AgriColleges International will play a vital role by assisting with the e-learning, Moodle-based short courses.

Workshop Objective:

The upcoming training aims to equip participants with the skills to design professional assignments that help students develop sector-specific (agri) competencies. During the session, we will explore how to integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes and assess them through performance tests. Additionally, we will discuss stages of professional growth and student motivation.

Date: 24 – 26 March 2025

Venue: Boland College, Worcester Campus
