West Coast TVET College will be hosting an electrical training workshop designed to support farmers in their regional Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE). The regional CoVE is part of the European Union funded project Centres of Vocational Excellence in Climate Smart Agriculture in South Africa.
The workshop will assist farmers and staff working on the farms with the skills related to the safe use of electrical equipment and basic skill related to electrical wiring.

Workshop Topics:
Electrical Safety: Learn how to handle and safely use basic electrical equipment
Basic Electrical Wiring: Focus on Low-voltage systems, covering the fundamental of wiring and fault finding, so participants can troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on the farm. as they will be taught basics of wiring and fault finding to enable them to fix things in the farm
Use of Hand and Power Tools: Learn to properly use tools for electrical tasks
